Hi, I'm Karlee.
Hi, I’m Karlee, an empathetic therapist with a personal journey that has uniquely prepared me to understand where many of my clients are today. As a teenager, I felt misunderstood and often mislabeled as defiant after experiencing a trauma when I was truly hurting and confused. It was difficult for me to talk about what happened at that time, so I inadvertently communicated my stress through my behaviors. My parents were exhausted with my behaviors. Ultimately, leaving both of us upset & frustrated. That part of my journey fuels my passion for creating a space for youth and their families to feel supported, understood, and connected.
I believe that when clients, including parents, feel genuinely heard, understand their experiences, and have practical tools that work for them, they begin to reclaim control and build confidence. Ultimately, this leads to a higher quality of life with improved relationships, productivity, and resilience.
My authentic perspectives as the “difficult teenager” and as a caregiver, coupled with my professional expertise has prepared me to work well with teens, parents, and families. My approach blends active listening and meaningful processing with psychoeducation and skill building.
In addition to my work with parents and teens, I also work with adult clients seeking support for other concerns, such as anxiety and processing childhood trauma.
At Liberty is founded on the belief that people heal best when they feel seen, supported, and understood. Karlee’s approach is warm, relational, and grounded in practical tools that help clients make meaningful changes — not just in therapy, but in everyday life.
